I never got coal for Christmas, but I feel like this is Christmas day and the Lawmakers just gave me a pot of coal. I can not believe how this pay raise was passed in the early hours of the morning. Further more there was no discussion on the floor before the vote was called! There are also some rumors floating around that the heads of the parties basically asked certain members to vote yes/no based on their upcoming elections. This is bull! To top off the whole matter they are getting their 16-34% pay raise early by breaking the PA constitution and creating a non-voucher expense account that they can width draw the difference of their current salary to the new salary from!

To make matters even worse, I didn’t think they could get much worse, the PA Chief Justice (he came up with the pay raise scheme) has said that the opposition to the pay-hike “knee-jerk”. I have a message for you Supreme Court Chief Justice Ralph J. Cappy, your plan sucks! We the people should not have to dish out more and more money to fund your spending habits. It sure must be nice to vote your self a raise! The whole fact that all three branches of the government got raises from this bill is just wrong. It is like have three of your co-workers approve each others raises and the boss not having any power to veto the proposal!
