Today I found my self asking my self, why is that people are always saying “I forget that URL?” For instance, today there was a post on CPLug that I could help but Google. In the post the author said that he one had the url for a store name Computer Barn in Newville but lost it. So me, being the curious young lad that I am went off to Google and did a search on ” Computer Barn in Newville”. To my surprise the first search result was a page with directions to the place! Needless to say, I replied to the post and reported my findings.
This brings me to my next point, we need a way to determine if one is certified as an searcher. Google could do this by offering something like a “Google Certified Searcher”. That way everyone would know who can search the web effectively and who can not. I mean, it is becoming part of everyday life in and out of the work place. If nothing else, this would be a few more letters to add behind ones name to make them feel important.
Does Google needs a GCS program?
